Caltrans has been active in the San Lorenzo Valley for over a year now installing several pedestrian safety improvements. The most recent project was a flashing beacon installed in Ben Lomond at Main Street that can be activated by pedestrians crossing this busy section of Highway 9. Taleb Saei, owner of Ben Lomond Shell, has witnessed many near misses over the years at this crossing. Here with Taleb and the Caltrans crew, Danny Lynch, Nick Herrera, Roy Kirby and Pedro Castillo.
